Business History

Owner / operator Walter Sasiadek has over 30 years experience in the Food & Beverage Industry. He attended the Culinary Institute of America, apprenticed at the prestigious Hotel Pierre in New York City and worked in such elegant hotels as The Waldorf-Astoria, The St. Regis and The Carlysle.

Walter went through a second apprenticeship in the dining room at the famous French restaurant Le Petit Pier in Lake Tahoe and was later hired by the owner, Jean DuFau, as a consultant.

He has successfully held the positions of Executive Chef, Maitre'd and Manager in fine restaurants & hotels including Executive Chef at Squaw Valley Ski Resort, Executive Chef at Cal Neva Lodge & Casino in Lake Tahoe, Food & Beverage Director of the Olympic Village Inn and Director of Operations for the Modern Jazz Cafe chain.

Walter is a seminar and workshop leader and makes customized presentations for business groups throughout the USA and Canada. Some of those clients include the SBA, SBDC, The International Caterers Association, the International Special Events Society and Cater Source.
